On the morning of December 22, 2020, at Dau Giay Industrial Park, Kim Tin Group solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Kim Tin MDF Factory, Dong Nai with a total investment of up to 3,000 billion VND.
After more than 2 years of research investment by the R&D center and supported by the local government and the leaders of the provincial departments and agencies, Kim Tin MDF factory, Dong Nai officially broke ground on December 22, 2020.
Kim Tin MDF Factory, Dong Nai has an area of 320,000 m2 with a total investment of up to VND 3,000 billion, built on the criteria of "Green and Modern".
On the basis of the automation system of FSC Vietnam factory, Kim Tin MDF factory, Dong Nai continues to be invested and improved in its technology to fully meet the rigorous standards of the European market (E2, E1, E0), Japan and the US (Carb P1, Carb P2). It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2022, the factory will launch the first product and be the most modern factory in Asia, supplying the market with 600,000 m3 per year, bringing the total capacity of factories of Kim Tin Group to 1.200.000 m3/year. This is an important milestone in affirming the position of Kim Tin Group in the wood and wood products industry. The goal by 2025 Kim Tin will account for 35% MDF market share in Vietnam.
In addition, the project will build 100,000 m2 warehouse for lease. Located in a favorable geographical position right on Dau Giay - Long Thanh Expressway and National Highway 1A, bordering with large domestic consumption markets, connecting many important and diversified transport routes such as airports, ports, this is a solution to create advantages for businesses located in industrial zones as well as businesses in the region.
At the same time, the orientation of building Kim Tin MDF factory, Dong Nai to become a "Green" factory with a rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 25MW will also help the Company to be proactive in energy supply and also contribute environmental protection.
Kim Tin MDF factory, Dong Nai will be a model of sustainable forest economic development combined with environmental protection and improvement to contribute to the transformation of plant structure, improvement of the ecological environment; actively contribute to raising the value of industrial production, export value of goods of the province; create more jobs for about 400 employees, more than 40,000 foresters in the locality and surrounding areas; increase revenue for the state budget by more than 300 billion VND per year; and contribute to promoting socio-economic development of Dong Nai province.
