On October 26, 2021, with the spirit of urgency, ensuring the regulations on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, Kim Tin Group organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the MDF manufacturing factory in Becamex Industrial Park (IP), Chon Thanh District, Binh Phuoc province. The project has a total investment of up to 150 million USD.
Since the 4th outbreak of COVID-19 in our country, Kim Tin has been aware of the seriousness caused by the new variant Delta. The negative impact of the pandemic has led many provinces and cities to apply social distancing measures, including Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Binh Phuoc, and Dong Nai - where many Kim Tin works, projects and factories are in operation. Many localities strictly implement epidemic prevention measures such as restrictions on travel and suspending non-essential activities. The supply chain of raw materials is broken, the circulation of goods is difficult because human resources and means of transport must comply with strict epidemic prevention measures such as PCR testing, isolation before and after moving out of the province; that have affected Kim Tin's production, business and investment activities.
However, with the enthusiastic support from the Binh Phuoc Provincial Government and the Management Board of the Industrial Park as well as the efforts of our Board of Directors and the staff, on October 26, 2021, Kim Tin Group started construction of MDF factory in Becamex Industrial Park, Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province.
Kim Tin Chon Thanh MDF factory project has a capacity of 500,000 m3/year with a total construction area of 331,281.02 m², including a factory and warehouse for lease (309.855.5 m²), and dormitory area (21,425.52 m²). On the basis of the automated system of FSC Vietnam factory, Kim Tin Chon Thanh MDF factory is invested and improved equipment and technology to fully meet the rigorous standards of European markets (E2, E1, E0), Japan and the US (Carb P1, Carb P2).
The factory is expected to go into operation in the third quarter of 2023, supplying MDF products of various types and sizes to the southern provinces. The factory will create more jobs for about 3,000 local workers and surrounding areas; increase revenue for the state budget by more than VND 10,000 billion within 50 years; contribute to promoting socio-economic development of Binh Phuoc province.

All employees of Kim Tin will strive to race against time, overcome difficulties to put the MDF Kim Tin Dau Giay factory project into operation in the second quarter of 2023 with a capacity of 500,000 m³ and the Kim Tin MDF factory project, Chon Thanh will operate in the third quarter of 2023 with a capacity of 500,000 m³.
It is expected that in 2023 Kim Tin will continue to invest in an MDF factory in the Central region and an MDF factory in the North with a capacity of 400,000 m3 each in order to achieve the goal by 2025 of the total capacity of MDF Kim Tin provided in the market is 2,300,000 m3, accounting for 45% of the national market share”.
To adapt to the "new normal", Kim Tin has accelerated the progress of Covid-19 vaccine coverage throughout the system in the South. As of October 26, 2021, there are more than 52% of employees have received 2 injections in Binh Phuoc, more than 95% of employees have received 2 injections and have returned to normal work in Ho Chi Minh City. The offices and factories of Kim Tin Group still strictly comply with the regulations on epidemic prevention and control at the request of the local localities.
